Loxonema delicatula was named by Wilson (1938) [Loxonema? delicatula]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Akpatok Island, 325' above sea level, Ungava Bay, Hudston Strait, which is in a Richmondian carbonate limestone in the Akpatok Formation of Canada.
