Taxonomy
Cupes groehni was named by Kirejtshuk (2005). Its type specimen is GPIH 4420, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, GPIH collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
