Triatriopollenites lateflexus
Taxonomy
Triatriopollenites lateflexus was named by Archangelsky (1973). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: p.m. 1007; coord. 32/108.9. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (pollen grain), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cerro Bororó, which is in a Danian terrestrial horizon in Argentina.

Archangelsky 1973 | Granos oblados de contorno ecuatorial subtriangular, de lados rectos a levemente cóncavos en los mesa parias y flexuosos en el área de los poros. Poros (exoporos) subcirculares, a veces con un débil engrosamiento anular, de hasta 3 µ de diámetro; atrium desarrollado, profundo hasta 1/3 del radio, con endoporo grande, hasta 9 µ de diámetro. Exina lisa, formada por dos capas fusionadas; la capa interna llega hasta el atrium donde se adelgaza bruscamente; la capa externa psilada, en la región de los poros con estrías o pliegues radiales. |
