Taxonomy
Macroteleia renatae was named by Szabó and Oehlke (1986). Its type specimen is Oehlke 130, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (Oehlke collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
