Plecia vergnei

Taxonomy
Plecia vergnei was named by Piton (1935). Its type specimen is Station Limnologique de Besse 9, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Varennes near Lac Chambon, which is in a Gelasian crater lake horizon in France.

It was recombined as Plecia (Protomyia) vergnei by Civet (1976).
