Metoposaurus algarvensis

Taxonomy
Metoposaurus algarvensis was named by Brusatte et al. (2015). Its type specimen is FCT-UNL 600, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Penina western locality, Penina Bonebed, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Grès de Silves Formation of Portugal.
