Taxonomy
Perupithecus ucayaliensis was named by Bond et al. (2015). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santa Rosa (LACM Loc. 6289), which is in a Rupelian terrestrial mudstone/sandstone in the Yahuarango Formation of Peru.
