Nimravus mongoliensis
Taxonomy
Aelurogale mongoliensis was named by Gromova (1959). Its type specimen is PIN 1379-7, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khoer Dzan slope, which is in an Eocene terrestrial gravel in the Ergilin Dzo Formation of Mongolia.
It was synonymized subjectively with Nimravus intermedius by Peigné (2003); it was recombined as Nimravus mongoliensis by Dashzeveg (1996) and Egi et al. (2016).
