Taxonomy
Kansuchelys tsiyuanensis was named by Yeh (1979). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kansuchelys tsiyuanensis type locality, which is in an Eocene/Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Zeyu Formation of China.
It was recombined as Manouria tsiyuanensis by Crumly (1983).
