Atriculicoides hispanicus
Taxonomy
Protoculicoides hispanicus was named by Szadziewski and Arillo (2016). Its type specimen is NBSJ 09/12 A c, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is San Just amber, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Escucha Formation of Spain.
It was recombined as Atriculicoides hispanicus by Borkent (2019), Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
