Taxonomy
Chalicomomys was named by Beard and Houde (1989). It is not extant. Its type is Chalicomomys antelucanus.

It was synonymized subjectively with Micromomys by Rose and Bown (1996).

It was assigned to Micromomyidae by Beard and Houde (1989), McKenna and Bell (1997), Bloch et al. (2007).
