Taxonomy
Abrotoxyela curva was named by Zheng et al. (2020). Its type specimen is NIGP NND0168, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (NIGP collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
