Taxonomy
Gravicalymene truncatus was named by Ross (1979). Its type specimen is USNM 206853 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 7984-CO. along Moffett Road, 0.5 miles west of Kenton, which is in an Edenian offshore ramp packstone/mudstone in the Kope Formation of Kentucky.
