Taxonomy
Archaeovespa incompleta was named by Wu et al. (2021). Its type specimen is CNU-HYM-MA2015108, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (CNU collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
