Copelemur praetutus
Taxonomy
Pelycodus praetutus was named by Gazin (1962). Its type specimen is U.S.N.M. No. 22262, a mandible (right ramus of mandible with P3 (incomplete)-M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bitter Creek, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Wasatch Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Copelemur praetutus by Gingerich and Simons (1977), Beard (1988).
