Mexicella obscurus

Taxonomy
Syspacephalus obscurus was named by Palmer and Halley (1979). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Grapevine Mountains (USGS 4140-CO), which is in a Delamaran shallow subtidal mudstone/limestone in the Carrara Formation of California.

It was recombined as Mexicella obscurus by Sundberg (2004).
