Vishnuonyx neptuni
Taxonomy
Vishnuonyx neptuni was named by Kargopoulos et al. (2021). Its type specimen is SNSB-BSPG 2020 XCIV- 0301, a mandible (right hemimandible with p1 alveolus and complete p2–m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hammerschmiede HAM 4, which is in a Tortonian fluvial horizon in Germany.
