Canis hewitti

Taxonomy
Canis hewitti was named by Fourvel and Frerebeau (2023). It is not extant. Its type specimen is University of Witwatersrand, KW 9571, a partial skull. Its type locality is Kromdraai - Member 2, which is in a Pliocene/Pleistocene cave dolomite in the Kromdraai Formation of South Africa.
