Taxonomy
Megalamynodon regalis was named by Wood (1945) [genotype; in Scott]. Its type locality is Twelve Mile Bridge, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Duchesne River Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Megalamynodon.
