Taxonomy
Pliomerina prima was named by Webby (1971). Its type specimen is SUP 23908, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quandong area trilobites, which is in an Eastonian offshore shelf limestone in the Daylesford Limestone Formation of Australia.
