Karanisia clarki

Taxonomy
Karanisia clarki was named by Seiffert et al. (2003). Its type specimen is CGM 40265, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Birket Qarun 2, which is in a Priabonian channel sandstone in the Birket Qarun Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Karanisia.
