Shell dorsibiconvex to ventribiconvex; ramnicostellate to fascicostellate, sometimes frilled; strong concentric lamellae; rectimarginate to sulcate; delthryium open, triangular; ventral interarea orthocline to catacline; dorsal interarea small, orthocline to apsacline; ventral muscle scars deflect anteriorly, with an additional lateral deflection common; ventral adductor scars sometimes elevated on a raised platform; quadripartite dorsal muscle scars; thickened notothyrial platform; brachiophores divergent. |
