Taxonomy
Palaeocardita iranica was named by Hautmann (2001). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Profil Nayband, Howz-e-Khan-Member, NAY 1905,7m, which is in a Rhaetian marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Nayband Formation of Iran.
