E. Schrank and M. S. Mahmoud 2002 | Pollen grains are monosulcate and usually of circular to elliptical outline. Sulcus narrow, extending from one end to the other end of one side, presumably the distal face, of the grain. Exine consisting of a thin, smooth nexine and a fairly thick, reticulate, columellate sexine. Reticulum resting on slender, widely spaced columellae. The muri are microechinate and not, or only weakly, thickened at the insertion points of columellae. |
