Taxonomy
Dimeropyge spinifera was named by Whittington and Evitt (1953). Its type locality is Loc. 1. Tumbling Run, 2 miles southwest of Strasburg, which is in a Blackriveran carbonate limestone in the Lincolnshire Limestone Formation of Virginia.
