Lasarchopyge benedettoi
Taxonomy
Lasarchopyge benedettoi was named by Chatterton et al. (1998). Its type specimen is CEGH-UNC 16971, a cephalon/head, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is LA 2, Las Aguaditas North Section, ~5.5 km west and ~9.5 km south of San José da Jáchal, which is in a Costonian deep subtidal shelf marl/claystone in the Las Aguaditas Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Lasarchopyge.
