Meretrix texacola tornadonis was named by Harris (1919) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle Eocene; Texas.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Callocardia (Agriopoma) tornadonis by Gardner (1945); it was recombined as Pitar (Calpitaria) tornadonis by Stenzel et al. (1957).
