Aramornis longurio

Taxonomy
Aramornis longurio was named by Wetmore (1926). Its type specimen is Amer. Mus. Nat. Hist. No. 6292, a limb element (distal end of left tarso-metatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thomson Quarry, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Sheep Creek Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Aramornis.
