Conuropsis fratercula
Taxonomy
Conuropsis fratercula was named by Wetmore (1926) [said in the original description to be a subspecies, but this is apparently a lapsus, as it is consistently referred to elsewhere as a species]. Its type specimen is Amer. Mus. Nat. Hist. No. 6292a, a limb element (left humerus), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Thomson Quarry, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Sheep Creek Formation of Nebraska.
