Taxonomy
Pachynolophus garimondi was named by Remy (1967). Its type specimen is CFSM F1-290, a maxilla (sin with P3-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fons 1, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial horizon in France.
