Cookiloxa leunisseni
Taxonomy
Cookiloxa leunisseni was named by Heidelberger (2007). Its type specimen is SMF XII 3478, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Am Wachtberg Quarry, Sötenich (= Soetnich or Soetenich, Gerolstein), Eifel Mountains. (Sötenicher Mulde, Nordeifel, MTB Mechernich, R 2540 000 / H 5598 7000), which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone/reef rocks in the Cürten Formation of Germany.
