Pediohierax ramenta
Taxonomy
Falco ramenta was named by Wetmore (1936). Its type specimen is USNM 13898, a limb element (distal end of right tarsometatarsus), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Observation Quarry, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in Nebraska.
It was recombined as Falco (Tinnunculus) ramenta by Wetmore (1940), Wetmore (1956); it was recombined as Pediohierax ramenta by Becker (1987).
