Heterosorex wangi

Taxonomy
Heterosorex wangi was named by Storch and Qiu (1991). Its type specimen is IVPP V 9733, a mandible (sin with m1-m3), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Lufeng, Section D, Layer 6, which is in a Turolian terrestrial lignite in China.

G. Storch and Z. Qiu 1991Fossa masseterica on the lower jaw undivided. Two antemolars between lower incisor and m1. Metnal foramen below talonid of m2. Lower incisor very massive, serrated, its posterior border extending below rear of m1 trigonid. Postcristid on lower molars terminates slightly behind entoconid, postcristid and entoconid being fused in occlusal view.
