ReferenceDiagnosis
G. Storch and Z. Qiu 1991Rather small mole with moderate fossorial specializations. Lower dental formula 13, c1 p3, m3 (the lost tooth is arbitrarily called p1). i1 distinctly enlarged, chisel-shaped and procumbent. i1-p2 single rooted, p3-p4 double-rooted; p2-p4 graded in size. Mesostyles on M1-3 undivided; para- and metacingula on M2-3 reduced; conuli on M1-3 at most weakly developed. Antemolar region of lower jaw rather long. Head of humerus directed mediodistally, teres tubercle long, pectoral ridge terminates laterally, and 'scalopine-ridge' prominent.
