Meles iberica
Taxonomy
Meles iberica was named by Arribas and Garrido (2007). Its type specimen is FP1-2001-0564, a skull ( skull with P2-M1 in both dental series), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Fonelas P-1, which is in a Gelasian fluvial horizon in the Guadix Formation of Spain.
