Taxonomy
Hedstroemophyllum nikiforovae was named by Strelnikov (1971). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kozhym River, Pripolyarnyy Ural, which is in a Pridoli marine horizon in the Greben Formation of the Russian Federation.
