Kiyumylodon lecuonai
Taxonomy
Kiyumylodon lecuonai was named by Rinderknecht et al. (2007). Its type specimen is FCDPV 1829, almost complete right mandibular ramus including a full dentition, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Playa Kiyú, which is in a Miocene fluvial-deltaic mudstone in the Camacho Formation of Uruguay. It is the type species of Kiyumylodon.
