Taxonomy
Cricetodon (Hispanomys) bijugatus was named by Mein and Freudenthal (1971). Its type specimen is FSL 65479, a tooth (m1 inf. sin.), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is La Grive L3, which is in a MN 7 + 8 fissure fill /limestone in France.
