Taxonomy
Ophiura (Ophioglypha) estarensis was named by Barbier et al. (1957). Its type specimen is Repository unknown and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ophiuroidea, Rhaetian, Crète de Casse-Blanche, Orcières, Hautes-Alpes, which is in a Rhaetian shallow subtidal limestone in France.
