Taxonomy
Coenites dunginensis was named by Sharkova (1981). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Batal Khuduk, Mandal Obo, which is in a Siegen shallow subtidal limestone/siliciclastic in the Amain Formation of Mongolia.
