Taxonomy
Riphaeolites magnus was named by Sharkova (1981). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Tsakhir-Khalgain-Nuru, Tsogt area, which is in a Siegen reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Tsogt Formation of Mongolia.
