Taxonomy
Flindersipora bowmani was named by Lafuste et al. (1991). Its type locality is Moorowie Mine bioherm, Flinders Ranges, which is in a Botomian platform/shelf-margin reef reef rocks in the Moorowie Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Flindersipora.
