Hypsognathus fenneri
Taxonomy
Hypsognathus fenneri was named by Gilmore (1928). Its type specimen is USNM 11643, a partial skeleton (lower jaw and much of the axial skeleton anterior to the pelvic region), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Broad Street, Clifton, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian terrestrial sandstone in the Passaic Formation of New Jersey. It is the type species of Hypsognathus.
