Taxonomy
Wyonycteris richardi was named by Smith (1995) [Species based on isolated upper and lower teeth, the type lower jaw, and a second lower jaw with p3.]. Its type specimen is IRScNB M 1809, a mandible (right dentary with m1-3), and it is a 3D body fossil.
