Taxonomy
Mirandella formosa was named by Tchudinova (2000). Its type specimen is PIN 3203/15 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kolyma River, opposite Polovinnyi Island, which is in a Cisuralian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
