Nanosiren garciae
Taxonomy
Nanosiren garciae was named by Domning and Aguilera (2008) [Name attributed to Domning rather than Domning and Aguilera]. Its type specimen is UF 201840, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Four Corners Mine, Pliocene, which is in a Hemphillian marine sandstone in the Bone Valley Formation of Florida. It is the type species of Nanosiren.
