Matanomictis maniyarensis
Taxonomy
Matanomictis maniyarensis was named by Thewissen and Bajpai (2008). Its type specimen is IITR-SB 5135, a mandible (right mandible with p4, m1, and two alveoli for m2), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Matanomadh, which is in a Chattian marine marl in the Maniyara Fort Formation of India. It is the type species of Matanomictis.
