Coronalosia irwinensis

Taxonomy
Strophalosia (Heteralosia) irwinensis was named by Coleman (1957). Its type specimen is UWA 23441a, a valve (ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fossil Cliff, Irwin River (UWA collection), which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Holmwood Formation of Australia.

It was recombined as Strophalosia irwinensis by Archbold (1986) and Archbold (1990); it was recombined as Coronalosia irwinensis by Archbold and Simanauskas (2001).
