Taxonomy
Palaeotaria henriettae was named by Leriche (1910). Its type specimen is no number, Musee de Rennes, a tooth (molar), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rennes, which is in a Chattian carbonate limestone in France. It is the type species of Palaeotaria.
