Toxochelys latiremis
Taxonomy
Toxochelys latiremis was named by Cope (1873). Its type specimen is AMNH 2362, a mandible (jaw fragment and coracoid), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Niobrara River (Sheridan County), which is in a Barstovian/Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in Nebraska. It is the type species of Toxochelys.
